Dealing with a cold

About two weeks after bring Bentley home from the hospital Bentley got a really bad cold. It was awful, I was already a paranoid first time mom and to make things worse my poor baby got sick! As you may or may not know at that age there is not a whole lot you can do for them however, these are some things that helped us get through it!

You can buy this at almost any store, it's just saline water. We would put a few drops in his nose 3-4 times a day, especially in morning when he seemed to be congested more.

After putting the saline water in his nose we would wait about 5-10 minutes to let it moisten everything up and then we would use the snot sucker, nice name I know but this thing truly works! I could barley get anything out with the blue bulb sucker they gave us at the hospital so I bought this and it worked like a charm!

Lastly we just made sure to have his humidifier running at night. I would sometimes rock him close to it just to help alleviate some of the congestion.

His cold lasted for what seemed to be forever but after about two and a half weeks it was completely gone. So if you find yourself in the same scary situation try not to panic, babies get colds and they will get better!
